Sofia Vergara married Joe Manganiello tonight at the elegant Breakers hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, after her rehearsal dinner the night before. She wore a stunning couture Zuhair Murad strapless silk tulle sheath dress with a sweetheart neckline and a detachable embroidered overskirt. The dress was hand-embroidered with Baroque arabesques and featured a pearl-beaded belt at the waist.
According to Vogue, the gown included “approximately 11 pounds of sequins, 6.6 pounds of pearls, 350 crystals, 32 atelier employees working on the gown, and 1,657 total hours of labor.” The dress was also made across two continents: at the designer’s Paris and Beirut ateliers.
“We spoke over the phone several times, and she explained to me what she likes and what she was dreaming about. I know very well her style, and so I wanted something very special, very sexy, and at the same time very classic, because it’s a wedding gown,” Murad told Vogue.
